Measuring only 5.9 inches wide and 5.2 inches tall, the system measures little more than a CD itself, making it an ideal choice for cramped quarters. The two-way speakers are also quite small at 5 inches wide and 9.3 inches tall, a nice size for most bookshelves and tabletops. Despite the compact housing, the system still packs a healthy audio punch thanks to its 30 watts of total system power and its digital amplifier, which includes four preset equalizer settings (flat, classic, rock, and pop) that let listeners customize the output depending on their taste.
As an alternative to CDs, the SJ380 offers a PLL-tuned AM/FM radio with 20 presets, making it easy to surf among your favorite stations. In addition, users will always know which track or station they're enjoying thanks to the LCD display, which switches to a 12- or 24-hour clock when the stereo is turned off.
